THETA LAMBDA

The Theta Lambda Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc. was organized in 1979 in Cullowhee, NC.  based chapter of  Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc.  is a historically African American fraternity and is committed to promoting the principles of manhood, scholarship, perseverance, and uplift.

The Theta Lambda Chapter has a long and distinguished history of service and achievement in its community. Members participates in a wide range of community service programs, such as mentoring programs for young people, scholarships for college-bound students, and health initiatives. The chapter also hosts social events and provides leadership development opportunities for its members.

Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc. was founded on November 17, 1911, at Howard University in Washington, D.C. The fraternity has over 750 undergraduate and graduate chapters in the United States, the Caribbean, and Africa. Its members are leaders in various fields, including education, business, politics, and the arts. The fraternity's motto is "Friendship is Essential to the Soul," and its colors are royal purple and old gold. The organization is committed to upholding its founding principles of manhood, scholarship, perseverance, and uplift, and it continues to make a significant impact on the African American community and society as a whole.
