Melanin Metropolis Fund is a 501c3 founded in 2020. Their mission is to buy an old plantation and build a housing community on the land. The team is looking to transform an existing property into a new residential community. The old plantations have historical significance to the black diaspora, but the Melanin Metropolis Fund sees a bright potential for the land despite the trauma that may be associated with it. Future plans include but not limited to: new homes for families, creating jobs for the local community, or generating revenue for investors.
